Gibson Signature B.B. King Lucille Semi Acoustic Guitar, Ebony

"It seems that it loves to be petted and played with. There's also a certain way you hold it, the certain noises it makes, the way it excites me ... and Lucille don't want to play anything but the blues ... Lucille is real, when I play her it's almost like hearing words, and of course, naturally I hear cries."
— B.B. King, liner notes from the album, Lucille, 1968

The Gibson B.B. King Lucille electric guitar is an enhanced ES-345, B.B. King's original Gibson guitar. Blues legend B.B. King had been playing Gibsons for over 40 years when he and Gibson officially joined forces in 1982. B.B.'s personal touches on his signature model include the fine-tuner tailpiece, the semi-hollow body with no soundholes and, of course, the name that has adorned his guitars throughout his career 'Lucille'. The Gibson B.B. King Lucille has a Maple laminate on the top, back, and rims, all joined with a single solid maple center block. A 3-piece maple neck with bound ebony fingerboard. Tone rich 490R and a 490T humbuckers translate the body's natural resonance into haunting jazz tones or searing distorted leads. The rounded neck profile is very comfortable while the bound top and back, plus Metal Tulip tuners, gold hardware and pearl block inlays make this guitar a comfort to play and watch. The Gibson B.B. King Lucille provides the tone and the look that inspires musicians in blues, rock and jazz. Includes Gibson black levant hardshell case.
